Contemporary Alexander Technique uses touch, words, and direction to deepen awareness of existing patterns and suggest new possibilities of movement. Lyra teaches Alexander Technique to give her students tools to rediscover their innate grace, relieve pain, create change in their own bodies, and rediscover ease, strength, efficiency, and freedom of movement.
Lyra teaches Classical Pilates as well as the GYROTONIC expansion system. Both systems create a balanced, developed, and flexible body, unwind tight joints, lengthen and strengthen muscles, and increase spinal flexibility. Lyra teaches with a focus on body awareness, rehabilitation, functional movement, and refined skill. Think of it as cross training for your life.
